我在九月六日见到外婆时，外婆身体不适，正在服药，可惜呕吐。
可是她清楚的记得我们三姐妹的名字。
那是我们最后一次面对面。
一星期入院。
以下是小姨给我们发的有关外婆的简讯：

Por2 making progress n likely 2b discharged to depency ward 2morow. Wud b put on clear fluid diet.

She is in ICU, very strict visiting hrs. Can only c her few mins b4 7pm rushed there after work.

Not worse off thought stil critical. Being given plasma suastitute n antibiotics. Tracheotomy not done waiting 4 her 2b more stable. Dr commented she is strong.

BP went down due to sepsis but up now with drugs. Given a more powerful ntbiotics. Pray 4 her recovery.

Dr says mom responding to ntbiotics. Risks of op include heart attack, stroke etc. But dr thinks her profile show she has strong will to live.

Oncall dr says her vital signs r acceptable although heart rate a bit high. Not awake. Breathing thr mouth so very dry.

Mother is getting blood transfusion. Saw she was given 100ml water thr nose tube. Breath spontaneously n thr nose. A lot more movement 2day.

Mom awake but not alert. Now being treated 4 infection soft tissue of arms with ntbiotics as ordered by orthopedic dr. As to urine prblm, specialist gave more H20.

Mom’s condition deteriorated last nite n dr gave booster. Stable at the moment. If 2morow ok, will take off sedative so she can wake.

The machine reading looks good but no dr there to confirm her status n whether those were helped with drugs. Her eyes r more alert. CVP reading was 8,9 even 10 compared to yesterdays 2 or 3.

Her kidneys r in danger of failing due to sepsis but dr decided against dialysis 2day – urea very high n potassium also > normal range which can caused heart to fail. But otherwise infections hv come down n vitals r ok n awake.

Urea reading down to 29 from yesterday’s 35 – improvement that’s why dialysis held over. Potasium @ 5 within range with medication. Breathing on her own.

Sleeping soundly – hosp covers her with special blanket n blow warm air in between. She is stable but recovery wud long unless God intervene.

Mom is being dialysed 2day – takes 24 hrs.
